Email Marketing Consent

This guide shows you how to sync your email marketing tools with your Legal Monster account. This is important to make sure, you do not send e-mails to users without the proper consent.

Collect e-mail marketing consent

There are two ways to collect e-mail marketing consent with Legal monster:

  • You can create a "Sign up for a newsletter"-widget, for when you have a seperate form for asking users to sign up for your email newsletter.

  • You can select the "Collect e-mail marketing consent"-option when you create your "Sign-up for a service"-widget.

Either way, you must sync your e-mail marketing tool with your audit trail. You can do so using our API or you can set up a Zapier integration as shown in this guide.

It is important that you sync your e-mail tools, as there might be different legal requirements to obtain a valid e-mail marketing consent depending on the country and local legislation.

Before you start:

You can add more data from Legal Monster to Mailchimp, but only e-mail is required for the integration to work.

If the connection works as intended, you can turn on your zap, and move on to create a zap that withdraws their consent when the unsubscribe.
